You've Got Mail
- Part 2 -
"Silver Fox? Seriously Abby...why?" Gibbs asked incredulously. Abby grinned at him.
"Because...you are one." She replied, giving him her best 'I'm so innocent' look.
"Abby…" He said warningly. Abby ignored him and bounced past him. He caught her arm and narrowed his eyes at her. She just smiled back.
"Oh Great One…you can thank me later when the replies start pouring in." She wriggled out of his grasp and slipped into the elevator. He knew exactly where it was going.
---
"DUCKY…" Abby burst through Autopsy doors, Ducky placed a gloved hand over his heart.
"Abigail, you startled me. What seems to be the problem?" Abby ran to him and hid behind him, sticking her head out to check the door.
"Gibbs is after me." She said as the door slid open and an angry Gibbs strode through them. Abby squeaked and hid again.
"Abby…you can't hide for ever behind Ducky." Gibbs said, sparing his old friend a brief smile before looking stern again.
"What is going on Jethro?" Ducky asked. Abby clutched at Ducky.
"She…" Gibbs caught the back of Abby's white coat and pulled her out from behind Ducky. "Has added my name onto a dating website. I don't date." Ducky sighed and gave Abby a sympathetic look.
"I am sorry my dear, but Jethro doesn't date." Ducky said patting her arm. Abby shot him a pleading glance as Gibbs pulled her towards the doors.
"Ducky…help me." She cried as the elevators closed. Ducky chuckled to himself. Abby may have irritated Gibbs, but he did need a decent woman in his life. This could actually be one of Abby's ideas that worked.
---
"Gibbs…if you kill me you will never know about this great woman that emailed you back." Abby cowered in the corner of the elevator as Gibbs flicked the switch to stop it. Gibbs stopped mid breath and stared at her.
"Someone emailed you?" He asked. Abby stood up warily and looked at him.
"No…someone emailed you." Her eyes lit up as she pulled a piece of paper out of her coat pocket. She handed it to Gibbs who took it. He stared at it.
"It's wont bite Gibbs…read it…she's a read head." She urged. Gibbs stuffed the paper into his pocket and flicked the elevator switch. The door slid open and Gibbs stepped out into the bullpen.
"Does this mean I'm forgiven?" Abby called as he strode away. Gibbs spared her a brief look, eyebrows raised as the doors closed once again, leaving Abby alone with her thoughts.
"Oh I am so forgiven once he reads that email." She squealed to herself and clapped her hands.

Dear Silver Fox,
I don't usually do this sort of thing, but then as you said, you don't either so I guess we are on the same page.
So I guess I should tell you a little bit about myself.
I am, some would say, middle aged. Although sometimes I feel younger than that (doesn't every body?). I work too hard, too many hours a day. But I wouldn't give it up for the world; I love what I do, despite certain problem colleagues, but I suppose its how we get over our problems that make us the people that we are.
Because of my long work hours, I don't spend too much time socializing. Not that I don't have friends, (I do, honestly!), but I prefer the company of one person at a time. I like to give people my undivided attention.
I drink to much coffee too; I can actually survive on coffee for a long time before the need to eat takes over. Needing to work long hours will make you caffeine dependant.
I have just realized that I am not endearing myself to anyone so I should probably stop now.
I would love to hear some more about you if I haven't scared you away.
Waiting to hear from you,
Red Headed Woman

Gibbs folded the email carefully back up and pulled a piece of paper out of his printer. He picked up a pen, thought for a moment and then began to write. The things he did for Abby.
