Who am I? Actually that’s a question I ask myself more often than I should *lol*

Well, I’m a girl (woman ;)) from Germany who’s been a fangirl since 1998. It all started with STAR TREK VOYAGER. My dad was always watching it, but my mum and I weren’t interested in it. Then, one afternoon, my dad was watching another episode – it was one at the end of season 3 I think, but I don’t remember which one – and my mum and I didn’t have a choice but to watch it with him, as we were all sitting in the living room. And somehow, it started to appeal to me. Then I had a sleepover at a friend’s and saw the repeat of ‘Worst Case Scenario’. The first episode I really *saw*. And in that moment I knew that I had to watch the show.

From there it was unstoppable. It went from Voyager to STARGATE, ANDROMEDA, FARSCAPE, DOCTOR WHO… then later to crime shows like NCIS, THE MENTALIST, CASTLE… you get the picture. The list is long. Maybe too long. There are over 70 shows on it; all of them I’ve seen either all or at least most of. The newest addition and probably one of my biggest TV obsessions ever is ONCE UPON A TIME. What a show, oh my gosh. It’s also the first show to make me write episode reviews on a regular (weekly) basis, and that’s gotta mean something…

That said, there’s still the issue of shows coming into your life without you knowing what happens to you. SHERLOCK is a perfect example here. I bought the DVDs out of frustration when I went to Ireland in July 2013, watched it without much interest and – got completely addicted.

There’s also a TOP 4 I made a while back. Funnily enough, no matter what happens, this remains true.

TV is a very important part of my life. I say that without hesitation – and with pride. It brought me to where I am today: Management Assistant in a TV and Film production firm. I studied Applied Media Economics, and after finishing it with a Bachelor Of Arts degree I’m allowed to call myself “TV-Producer”.

My Bachelor thesis I wrote about “Relationship-ping – The presentation and importance of interpersonal relationships between TV show characters in US-American Science fiction and Crime TV shows”. Yep, I wrote my thesis about shipping.

So – I’m a shipper as well. And I write fanfiction.

What else do I like? I’m a big fan of musicals. I like good music – from musicals of course, but also from, for example, Josh Groban, Il Divo, Celine Dion, ABBA, Queen, and Frank Sinatra. Also, I listen to soundtracks/scores.

I create websites (WordPress theme I use is by me ;)). I like photoshop-ping. I draw occasionally. Sometimes I even sing.

Oh yes. And I have a handful of wonderful friends I met in a Star Trek fanclub in 2004. They are all fangirls and -boys themselves, to a lesser or even greater grade – which is the best that can happen to someone like me: when your friends understand and share your hobby.
