So obviously plans are there to not go through with them, lol. I wanted to check out my old reviews and comment on them, but alas… I was too lazy and just wrote down anew what I noticed. Maybe I’ll go back to my old reviews in a combined post.Continue reading
And there it is, the season finale. Which had a rather surprising, unexpected effect on me…Continue reading
Oh look, they’re back…! But of course it would be too easy if all was fine now.Continue reading
Once again, the new episodes of ONCE UPON A TIME seems more like a filler episode; a breather that lets us prepare for the bombs that are yet going to be dropped in the upcoming episodes. This is not means as a criticism. OUAT is a show that needs such eps now and then, otherwise it would become too hard to follow all the plots and events. Continue reading
I’m screaming again. Because that’s the only thing you can do after THAT episode. OH. MY. GOD. It’s not like the episode itself, the whole thing, was already exciting and had me on the edge of my seat. But – the last minute? BLOODY HELL. And yes, still screaming. And on the verge of tears.
Be aware that there are spoiler spaces in that review. I always do my best to avoid spoilers for upcoming episodes… I rarely ever succeed. This time, I needed to include an outlook to the next episode(s).
If there was ever an episode to fear to this day, OUAT’s second midseason finale qualifies as such. Now, as I said: To this day. I definitely don’t want to think about what that means for the season finale and following seasons…
Beware: This will include spoilers for episode 2×09 in the form of what I’ve seen in the promo.
With this episode, I had made the big mistake of watching about two minutes upfront. Usually, I only get the episode in the morning, since it is the middle of the night for us here when the shows are aired in the US. However, last Sunday night, the episode was on rather early, allowing me to catch a first glimpse at night before going to bed already… which was a massive mistake. I needed two hours to get my brain to shut up (and down) so I can go to sleep. But as said, I only watched about two minutes… so I was prepared for this episode, knowing brain overload was once again to come.
I had no idea.
ONCE UPON A TIME’s seventh episode of season two brought us a big step forward in the series mythology. And thus, I think it was kinda mean of Ed and Adam to have the episode storyline be about Ruby; have an episode plot at all, and not only the mythology plot. Because the latter, despite claiming only a small part of the 40-something minutes, was extremely strong. Or, as one is tempted to say: Hot…
When ONCE UPON A TIME does something, they do it right. And when they introduce a character you thought you knew, only to deliver the truth with a hard punch, then they do it more than just right.
